Heaven & Hell - Wembley 10th November
Heaven and Hell or Black Sabbath without Ozzy!!!
First up was Iced Earth led by Tim Ripper Owens who replaced Rob Halford in Judas Priest for 1 cd. They were very good, a bit Priesty, very metal. Shame they only got 30 mins. Great lights and sound for a support act.
Then Lamb of God who were shite! A very angry young man on vox who stomped around and I have to say I didn't understand a single word yet around people appeared to sing along.Part Slayer the rest Pantera they went down a storm but sounded like a spin dryer on fast!!
After seeing the Ozzy led reunion tour 9 years ago I can now say we have seen both proper versions of Sabbath. Everthing they played was superb about 1hr 40 mins. The light and sound was superb and Ronnie Dio for a 69 year old midget has an almighty voice.
The only downer was 4 songs missing from the recent live cd/dvd including Lady Evil and Lonely is the Word which were both on Heaven and Hell which considering the name of the band was a surprise.
The extended Heaven and Hell with a fab solo from Mr Iommi was stunning though.
So 10/10 for what they played 2 points dropped for not playing all the set.
