Tesla Carling Academy Islington - 5th November

Basically a room upstairs in a shopping centre but great name. Holds about 800, low stage, great sound.

Support was Killing For Company (New band of Stuart Cable ex drummer of the Stereophonics). Strange lot. The bassist could have been in a thrash band and the singer appeared to have been wired to the mains. Some people don't know how to work a crowd yet the songs were ok with some fab chorus's.Very strange - could be ok on cd as you wouldn't have to watch the singer.

We hadn't seen Tesla for 16 years - now twice in 4 months. Again they were superb. A 2 hour show 7 different songs to the last time including Paradise,Hang Tough, Song and Emotion, Rock me to the Top and War Pigs as the cover off of their new cd's.

We managed to get right in front of Frankie Hannon and just enjoy another band who I have had on the death deck far too many times over the years.

After the gig we tried to find somewhere to get some nosh and so walked past the venue about 30 mins later and who was stood there? Jeff Keith the vocalist! I just so happened to have my copy of Reel To Reel 2 in my jacket pocket so he and Dave Rude (geetar) signed it the other 3 were gone. Jeff stood and chatted for about 10 mins about the current tour and cd's,a new studio cd next year, an itunes exclusive before Crimbo, the box set due next year. We then tried to explain to an American about Butlins holiday camps as they were due to play their later in the week at the Hard Rock Festival.Very funny. He then got on the bus for the trip to Glasgow. Very Rock n'roll!!

An extremely nice man who hopes to tour here again next year. I hope so. 10/10.
