First up were Wayward Sons who have recently released their debut cd Ghosts Of Yet To Come on Frontiers Records Srl and are led by Toby Jepson who of course fronted Little Angles and has produced many bands over the course of the last decade.

Their 45 minute set had 9 of the 10 album cuts with only Giving It Away missing out and from the roar that greeted the band for opener Alive plenty had bought the album.

Toby was having a blast and his vocals were excellent and he was ably backed by Sam wood on guitar and the ever bouncing Nic Wastell on bass and the crushing Phil Martini on drums and his old mate Dave Kemp on keys.

Vibrant music made to move crowds with fab vocals and huge choruses and the band's enthusiasm and charisma shone through as the crowd response grew with every passing song.
Until The End sealed the deal as set closer and Toby said the band will be back in April for a full tour so make a note in your diary.

Inglorious released second album 2 back in May and it went to no 1 in the UK Rock chart, as well as No. 10 in the midweek mainstream chart and apart from a few festival appearances they have now been unleashed and with sold out notices across the country the UK is ready to greet a band that many see as the next big British band.

For 90 minutes the band hit us with a mix of both albums with 10 being played from 2 and every one shone in the live setting with a vibrancy and urgency few bands can match.

Here is what they played.

Led by the shiny boots and silver lapel winged jacket of Nathan James who is a front man of the highest order with a vocal range to match. He really can sing it all with a melodic tone and a range that can hit the stratosphere when he hits notes others fear going near!!
Drew Lowe on guitar has returned to the band and is a great foil to his guitar compatriot Andreas Eriksson who plays with a melodic tone and his solo work is flashy but always in context with the song and he never over plays. The rhythm team really are amongst the finest on the planet with Colin Parkinson on bass and the wonderfully named Phil Beaver on drums who even gets his own fan chant!!

The whole set was a highlight with first album pot boilers Breakaway and Unaware sitting perfectly along side second album killers I Don't Need Your Loving and High Class Woman.

The crowd knew every word and there was no dip in quality or performance.Drew and Nathan took it down for an acoustic interlude of Numb and Black Hole Sun in tribute to Chester Bennington of Linkin Park and Chris Cornell of Soundgarden who we have tragically lost this year.It was beautifully played and sang with Nathan reigning himself in a touch with no loss of power and the crowd responded in kind.

Holy Water and Until I Die from the first album were encores with Nathan in the former touring the balcony area and plenty of down stairs too and the evening ended with the band taking a well deserved bow.

They have it all the look the songs the stage craft let's all watch them soar.
